The Mabalacat City Government through its COVID-19 Response Integrated System (CRIS) reported no new active case of COVID-19 on its bulletin for November 14.
The case update posted on Mabalacat City News COVID-19 Updates page also shows that no new deaths were recorded. Active case in the city has also dipped to 23 with positivity rate of 0.3%.
Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo attributed the downward trend of COVID-19 cases in the city to its intensified vaccination program.
Few days ago, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Central Luzon (DILG-R3) urged Mabalacat City and other local government units with high inoculation coverage, to submit a documented report on their vaccination best practices.
In a supplementary attachment, records show that Mabalacat City has already vaccinated 96.06% (first dose immunity) and 78.68% (full dose immunity) of its 198,001 target population. The highest in Central Luzon.
